KICKSTART YOUR CREATIVITY:
JANUARY 8TH WORKSHOP FOR WRITERS
Start the New Year right by offering your creative muse some new ways to speak to you – and some proven tricks to silence the wicked editor out to spoil the fun of writing. This workshop developed in London for the Women's Writers Network draws on
the inspiration of Natalie Goldberg, Susan Sellars, and Anne Lamott. It will be facilitated by Laura Cameron, a writer and editor with twenty years of experience in travel, advertising and internet publishing.
Sponsored by Chapter 7 of the National Writers Union this workshop will be held on Sunday, January 8th, 2006 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau, 150 Olivier St.,
Monterey, CA 93940-2460. It is designed to prod
the unconscious, free the writers wild mind, and explore new gateways to writing. Bring pen and paper and be ready to write! $35. for NWU members, $50. for the general public.

"Scent and Remembering" A writing workshop by Santa Cruz poet Patti Sirens using scent to evoke memory and stir the imagination, and to bring out poems and stories that are waiting to be told in all of us. Each participant will come away with their own self-blended perfume, along with writing exercises that will help them explore and articulate their own stories, biographies, and mythologies.
